Syeah skate

We won the Syeah Skates Grindchallenge three years in a row.
It’s a one-of-a-kind video contest for blading worldwide—
you take on challenges, follow a theme, and push what’s possible on wheels in a period of 1 month.

Here I learned how to manage and direct a group without disrupting the natural flow of energy. The whole crew( including myself), was skating and filming each other, and the edit began to take shape after every session. I also traveled to Greece to film an entire section, which included an unplanned airplane shot we stumbled upon on the way to the beach. For the storyline, we even filmed inside the isolation room of a psychiatric hospital, adding a surreal dimension. While the overall concept may appear absurd, it ultimately revealed a tapestry of subtle narrative details—moments, gestures, and struggles—that speak to the essence of the rollerblading scene.

When summer comes, the story shifts to Athens.
The Blade House hosts a series of street sessions across the city,
all building toward the last Saturday of August,
when the entire house turns into a skatepark.
There’s the contest, the crowd, the energy—
and when the sun goes down, live bands carry the night.

After a day to breathe, we cross the water to Andros.
The Blue Enigma hotel becomes home for every blader.
Here we skate, relax, and let the island take over:
waterfalls tucked in the hills,
sunsets that stop you in your tracks,
and silence so deep it reminds you
just how far you’ve come from the noise of the city.
